Summary:

Fonkoze Haiti and Opportunity International Deutschland (OID) proposed implementing a comprehensive social protection project –”Chemen Lavi Miyò” (CLM -The Way to a Better Life) Project –in eastern Savanette in the Central Department, Haiti, to curb extreme poverty. The project was to improve the well-being of 500 most impoverished families in nutrition, health, education, and housing. The project’s target group consisted of about 95% extremely poor women and about 5% of vulnerable people with disabilities in the eastern section of the Savanette Commune. The feasibility study utilized desk-review-centered, impact, and outcome-based approaches in addition to OECD-DAC criteria. It examined the multiple actors, factors, and contributions to interrelated causal chains of expected project results. It also identified project prerequisites, opportunities, and risks to the proposed project. A triangulation of mixed research methodology was used for data collection, data analysis, and reporting.
