The study findings will serve as a foundation for developing a targeted and evidence-based action plan that aligns with the overarching objectives of federal programs within the municipality.
Study Objectives
The primary objectives of this research are:
- To analyse the socio-economic, political, and demographic landscape of Jerichower Land.
- To assess challenges related to democracy, diversity, and extremism.
- To identify local actors and resources available to address these challenges.
- To develop evidence-based recommendations for policy and programmatic interventions.
Research Scope
The study is conducted in the district of Jerichower Land, Saxony-Anhalt, in Germany. It adheres to scientific standards, ensuring empirical validity and employing professional methodological approaches. It offers an independent perspective on municipal challenges, incorporating insights from local stakeholders.

Geographically, the study is divided into two regions:
- Burg region: Möckern, Gommern, Burg, and Loburg
- Genthin Region: Güsen, Elb-Parey, Jerichow and Genthin.
