Situation
Widespread poverty, insecurity, lack of jobs, and absence of formal social protection were observed in Verrettes commune, in Haiti. Fonkoze, Opportunity International Deutschland & BMZ needed to get an assessment of feasibility of Fonkoze/OID before launching a CLM project targeting 550 ultra-poor and 700 extreme-poor families (~6,250 people).
Solution
FIFE provided an evidence-based technical support in conducting a Mixed-methods study under the BMZ framework (146 household surveys, 23 KIIs, observation, KoboToolbox/SPSS).
Objectives
- 1 Assess feasibility of Fonkoze/OID launching a CLM project targeting 550 ultra-poor and 700 extreme-poor families (~6,250 people).
Outcomes
- Confirmed high viability; recommended engaging MAST officials.
- Integrating key actors into CDCs.
- Adopting electronic field verification.
