Situation
Based on the present global trend, the humanitarian sector is shifting towards 'localisation', but understanding and application vary across the ADRA network. Therefore there is a rational need to explore recognition/comprehension of localisation, examine donor requirements, and determine ADRA network guidelines.
Solution
FIFE initiated a Network-wide study (surveying implementing, regional, and supporting offices) led by Dr Kwaku Arhin-Sam.
Objectives
- 1 Explore recognition/comprehension of localisation.
- 2 Examine donor requirements.
- 3 Determine ADRA network guidelines.
Outcomes
- Documented high familiarity/significance of localisation and strong demand for a unified ADRA Network Localisation Strategy.
