Situation
ADRA Germany sponsored refugee support for Ukranians due to their crisis situation in the country. The challenge for volunteers was on hosting or caring for these refugees. The whole process required preparation, skills and trauma awareness for efficient care. Then a training was essential for the challenge to be tackled.
Solution
FIFE provided the neceassary training to volunteers hosting or caring for Ukrainian refugees. The training aimed at providing required preparation, in teaching skills, trauma care and trauma awareness to the volunteers.
Objectives
- 1 Equip volunteers with practical skills.
- 2 Provide trauma understanding.
- 3 Teach secondary trauma coping strategies.
Outcomes
- Volunteers trained on trauma awareness.
