Situation
This evaluation assessed the impact and effectiveness of the ADRA Shop Bürglen, a food distribution initiative supporting low-income individuals and families. The shop, operating since 2015, provides food and essential household items to vulnerable populations. The evaluation examined the shop's relevance, effectiveness, impact, and sustainability, identifying areas for improvement and future strategic planning.
Solution
FIFE conducted an independent evaluation using a mixed-methods approach. The study involved surveys with 53 registered customers and 5 volunteers. In addition, key informant interviews were conducted with various stakeholders, including the shop manager, founders, donors, and beneficiaries. A desk review of project documents and operational reports was also carried out to gain further insights into the initiative. Furthermore, on-site observations of shop operations and processes were conducted to complement and validate the information gathered through other methods.
